We are pleased to announce that this year’s edition of the Swiss Society for Endocrinology and Diabetology Annual Meeting is planned as a presential meeting. If there are any changes due to the pandemic situation and aligned with the regulations issued by the Federal Office of Public Health, we will inform you immediately.

Call for Abstracts

The following prizes will be awarded: «awards for the best oral presentation» (clinical and basic-experimental), «awards for the best poster» (clinical and basic-experimental), and the «award for the best student presentation» (oral or poster).

Abstracts can be submitted in two categories:

«Basic-experimental»: Communications from in vitro studies and investigations in animal models.
«Clinical»: Communications from studies with patients including epidemiological data

Abstract should be submitted in English according to the pre-formatted attachment:

  • Title of the study
  • Authors
  • Institution
  • Address of the institution            
  • Background, methods, results, conclusion (no figure and no references)
  • Self-declaration of the category (basic-experimental, clinical; changes of categories possible after evaluation)
  • Self-declaration for a possible oral contribution in the ASEMO meeting
  • Status of the first author (student yes/no)

Oral presentations will be in English: 10 minutes presentation, 5 minutes discussion.

Abstracts are acceptable for submission only if the corresponding work has not been accepted for publication before the submission deadline (31 July 2021).

Young Independent Investigator Grant 2021

The SGED/SSED will accept applications within any area of basic or clinical endocrinology and diabetes research. The application will qualify as either basic or clinical based on the project nature, and independent of the applicant’s academic background (MD or PhD). The main purpose of this grant is to encourage young investigators to develop an independent line of research. All applications will be considered based on their intrinsic scientific merit.
